The many faces of Deity

Church member Jennifer Revill will speak on “Personal Pantheons” as our series of lay-led summer services continues this Sunday, August 17, at 10:30 a.m.

“You may believe in a higher power, but where and how do you actually see God? Or are you still looking? Your own personal life history and the many faces of Deity from around the world may point the way,” says Jennifer.

Her talk will explore the many aspects of God envisioned by humans, and what this great variety may tell us about ourselves.  Readings and music offer more reflections on this theme. The service grew out of the “Finding the Sermon Within” series facilitated by the Rev. Jeanne Nieuwejaar, our interim minister until recently.

Our summer services are followed by light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. Visitors are always welcome.
