Unitarian Universalists are beginning to have a public voice in a way that we haven’t seen in a couple of centuries. The shooting at the Tennessee Valley UU Church made public not only our faith, but the violent forces of bigotry toward liberalism in our country today. What does this mean for our movement and for our church?
“Finding Our Voice” will be the topic of the Rev. Frieda Gillespie’s sermon this Sunday, October 12, at 10:30 a.m. The service will mark Association Sunday. We will celebrate our place in the Unitarian Universalist Association and take up a special offering to support programs that benefit our movement.
The service will end at about 11:45, followed by coffee and fellowship. Visitors are always welcome.
