Our minister, the Rev. Frieda Gillespie, will speak on “The Wisdom of Hinduism” this Sunday, October 19, at 10:30 a.m.
Hinduism is a religion with some real ties to Unitarian Universalism. It is founded on principles of reason and centers its philosophy on human beings. There are also Unitarians in India, and the history of that movement ties very much with our own.
The service will end at about 11:45, followed by coffee and fellowship. Visitors are always welcome.
Following the service, from about noon to 3:30 p.m., we will hold a Ministerial Workshop, which will be an opportunity to deepen our relationship with our minister. We will look at our history of ministry and what it may have to tell us about our patterns and expectations. The ways in which we share ministry — who is responsible for what — will be explored more fully. And Frieda will share with us the ways in which her best ministry may come forth.
Please join us for this important step in establishing our new ministry.
