The theme of the sermon this Sunday, January 4, is “Beginner’s Mind.” Our minister, the Reverend Frieda Gillespie, explains:
Zen Buddhism teaches a concept called beginner’s mind where we intentionally look with wonder. Wonder is what we experience when we see something we cannot categorize, something new. Can we view what we “know” as if we have encountered it for the first time? And what happens when we do?
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and will be followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:45. Visitors are always welcome. We offer a Religious Education Program from nursery through high school.
