In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, this Sunday, January 18, we will take a look at what motivates our decisions — the ones that affect the environment, the balance of power between the races, or any other social issue that asks us to care beyond our immediate self-interest.
“When Does the Buck Stop and the Heart Begin?” is the title of the sermon that will be given by our minister, the Reverend Frieda Gillespie.
We’ll celebrate the many ways that we are involved in social justice work. Come wearing a T-shirt, button, hat, or bring brochures about a cause that you actively support and share it with us all.
Our service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Visitors are always welcome.
