Celebrating the lives of the departed

At our service this Sunday, November 1, we will celebrate the lives of people who have passed on — both those we know personally and those in the public eye who have died since last year.

Our minister, the Reverend Frieda Gillespie, asks that you bring pictures of loved ones for the altar. Her sermon, “Lessons of Living and Dying: All Saints Service,” will focus on the legacy of the Reverend Forrest Church, a well-known Unitarian Universalist minister and author who died on September 24.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Child care and religious-education classes are available, and visitors are always welcome.
