Our Unitarian Universalist History Series continues this Sunday, November 8, when the Reverend Frieda Gillespie will deliver a talk titled “It Takes a Mother: The Gifts of Sophia Fahs.”

Sophia Fahs, a Unitarian, was a pioneer in children’s religious education. Her innovations affected the way all denominations do church school, and our current curricula build upon her insights, which in large part came from being a parent.

Born in China to Presbyterian missionaries, her life traced a journey from evangelical Christianity to religious liberalism.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Child care and religious-education classes are available, and visitors are always welcome.
