Celebrate the season at our holiday services

This Sunday, December 20, children, youth, and adults of the Northshore UU Church will present “A March into the Light,” a pageant about the winter solstice. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and will be followed at about 11:30 by coffee and fellowship.

The Sunday service is just one of several special events that will take place at our church during the holiday season. Other events are:

  • Winter Solstice Service, Monday, December 21, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Join in this festive and contemplative family celebration of the return of light on the longest night of the year.
  • Christmas Eve Service, Thursday, December 24, 6 to 7 p.m. Come one, come all to our joyous candlelight celebration of the meaning of Christmas in word and song.
  • Christmas Dinner with Friends, Friday, December 25, 1 to 3 p.m. This annual event is open to anyone in the community. It includes a full turkey dinner and carol singing in the atmosphere of candles, red tablecloths, and the Joy Blocks. Held at our church, the event is co-sponsored with the Danvers Clergy Association and Temple Beth Shalom of Peabody.
  • Reflections on the New Year, Sunday, December 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A spiritual conversation led by church member Peter VanDeBogert.

The Northshore UU Church is a liberal religious community serving Boston’s North Shore. Religious education classes and child care are available, and visitors are always welcome. If you have been seeking a spiritual home, the holiday season would be a wonderful time for you to explore what we have to offer.
