Friends packed the Northshore UU Church meeting room on Monday, July 5, to wish Eva Turner a happy 90th birthday. Ms. Turner grew up in the Peabody Universalist Church, one of four churches that came together in the 1960s to form NSUU.

Our minister emeritus, the Reverend Ed Lynn, and his wife, Marj Lynn, were among those greeting Ms. Turner. A birthday greeting from our current minister, the Reverend Frieda Gillespie, was read as well.

For many years, Ms. Turner has served as a vital cog in the NSUU machine, running the coffeemaker for our post-service gathering. What is not so well known is that Ms. Turner herself does not drink coffee!

Happy Birthday, Eva!
