Please join us this Sunday, September 19, when our minister, the Reverend Frieda Gillespie, delivers a sermon on the topic of “At-Onement.” Frieda explains:
The gift of Yom Kippur and Ramadan is the chance to take an honest look at our behavior and thoughts in the past year and to acknowledge any harm that we’ve done. Atonement is the desire to make amends to remain connected to those we’ve harmed and to humanity and nature as a whole. What allows us to atone and forgive?
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Child care and religious-education classes are available, and visitors are always welcome.
