This Sunday’s service: Re-visioning religious education

Please join us this Sunday, October 17, as we begin the process of creating a new vision for our Religious Education Program. The theme of the service is “All Ages Together,” and it will be presented by our minister, the Reverend Frieda Gillespie; our new director of religious education, Ashley Benner; and the Religious Education Task Force.

We are considering a new model of religious education that includes many ages together as both teachers and learners, while honoring the unique needs of each generation as well. What might this look like at NSUU? How might your desire to learn be served by this model?

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Child care and religious education classes are offered, and visitors are always welcome.

This service will be followed by a workshop to begin a congregational visioning process for religious education at Northshore Church. All members, friends, and all ages are encouraged to stay and participate in this facilitated workshop, which will take place from about 11:45 a.m. to about 1 p.m.
