This Sunday’s service: “Vocation in Our Modern World”

Many of our members will be at our annual retreat at Ferry Beach this weekend. But we will hold a regular church service, too. “Do It Well: Vocation in Our Modern World” will be presented by Ashley Benner, our interim director of religious education, on the morning of her graduation from Boston University School of Theology.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a fellow Boston University alumnus, memorably said, “Whatever your life’s work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.” In our chaotic world of consumerism and the American Dream, how do we find our true vocation so that we may truly “do it well”?

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Visitors are always welcome.
