This Sunday’s service: “Wisdom: Ancient and New”

Nearly 2,500 years since they were written, books of Hebrew wisdom such as Ecclesiastes and Proverbs continue to have great meaning for many people. Our acting minister, Jen Dillinger, M.Div., will speak on the topic of “Wisdom: Ancient and New” this Sunday, November 13. Jen explains:

Whether we encounter their words through Biblical studies or through popular music such as the Byrds’ “Turn, Turn, Turn,” what is it about this ancient wisdom literature that still resonates with us even today? We’ll also consider ways in which we each are sources of wisdom ourselves.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30 and our multigenerational Religious Education Program at noon. Visitors are always welcome.
