This Sunday’s service: “Chaos Theory in Spiritual Practice”

Vanessa Grimes and Alice Rohr will lead our service this Sunday, July 28, on the topic of “Chaos Theory and Spiritual Practice.”

Chaos sounds a little bit scary and mysterious, and just a little bit normal, like part of our everyday lives. It’s no coincidence that chaos theory, which is a field of study in mathematics, shares these traits. This study only began about 50 years ago, but has already led to a deeper understanding of weather, patterns in nature, statistical phenomenon, and even human nature. Our service leaders will explore the easy basics of this theory and describe how the concepts have influenced their own spiritual ideas.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Visitors are always welcome.
