At this time of year we celebrate death in the midst of life. Ghouls and goblins will be coming to our doors on Halloween night. Our fears are made accessible and even humorous through costumes and whimsical decorations.
This Sunday, October 27, we will take time to remember and honor those who’ve died in the past year and to reflect on the shadow of death that is part of living. The Reverend Frieda Gillespie will lead a service titled “Day of the Dead.”
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Religious education classes for children and youth are offered, and visitors are always welcome.
