Music Director Judy Putnam’s colleague Troy Smith, a professor at North Shore Community College, will be our speaker this Sunday, January 19. Professor Smith is a faculty member in the Human Services Division and teaches core courses for all human services majors.

For several years he taught a course called “Martin & Malcolm.” In addition, he teaches courses on diversity and is also on the faculty of Cambridge College. Smith spoke here at the Northshore Church about 20 years ago on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and he’s looking forward to returning on this same occasion with some new perspectives on the life of King and issues of racism.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Religious education classes for children and youth are offered, and visitors are always welcome.
