The Reverend Frieda Gillespie of the Northshore UU Church and the Reverend Kelly Weisman Asprooth-Jackson of the First Parish UU Church in Beverly will be co-facilitating Part II of Build Your Own Theology, the first part of which was offered at NSUU last spring.
Part II, an eight-session course, continues the process of theological meaning-making by examining truth and authority, the holy, good and evil, justice and the beloved community, suffering, death, immortality, and a doctrine of the liberal church. You can expect fun and lively discussion, interesting reading, and challenging ideas.
The sessions will begin on Thursday, February 27. They will run consecutively until April 17 and are open to members of either church. You do not have to have participated in Part I in order to take Part II. The sessions will be held as follows:
- Thursdays, 2 to 4 p.m.: Northshore UU Church
- Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m.: First Parish Beverly, 225 Cabot St.
Sign-up sheets will be in the NSUU Fellowship Hall.
