This Sunday’s service: The Climate Reality Project

Following the Copenhagen Climate Change talks in December 2009, the United Nations Office in the Russian Federation, together with the Young Peacekeepers Movement, sponsored an art contest called “People in the Face of Climate Change.”

The Climate Reality Project, founded and chaired by former vice president and Nobel laureate Al Gore, is dedicated to unleashing a global cultural movement demanding action on the climate crisis. Despite overwhelming international scientific consensus on climate change, the global community still lacks the resolve to implement meaningful solutions.

Please join us this Sunday, February 16, when guest speaker Jeanne Brunson will lead a service on climate change and what we can do about it. Brunson is a concerned parent, elementary band teacher, and trained volunteer presenter for Climate Reality.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Religious education classes for children and youth are offered, and visitors are always welcome.
