Our final service of the regular 2013-’14 church year will be held this Father’s Day, June 15. The theme of the service will be “Father’s Day and Letting Go.” Some of our men will reflect on what being a father means to them. The Reverend Frieda Gillespie will reflect on our six years together. There will be a potluck reception after church to celebrate our time together and end the church year.
The service will be Reverend Frieda’s last at our church. Called to the ministry of Northshore UU in 2008, Reverend Frieda has served us ably. Unfortunately, our Board of Directors decided earlier this year that the budget can no longer support a full-time minister. Please come celebrate Frieda’s service.
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship at about 11:30. Religious education classes for children and youth are offered most weeks, and visitors are always welcome.
Our lay-led series of summer services will begin in July, and will be posted here.
