This Sunday’s Service – “An Unconventional Muse”

April 10 Service at 10:30 AM

An artist talk with Bonnie Ashmore-Davis, M.F.A.

In October of 2010, Bonnie was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. Since finishing her active treatment, she has been developing a healing body of work responding to her illness. “Origins” is a series of paintings and prints derived from molecular diagrams of the chemotherapeutic agents used to treat her disease. Bonnie will discuss her experience with cancer, how it became an unexpected and unconventional muse, and how the creation of these works became a healing process for her. “Origins” will be on view in the sanctuary March 31- May 30. Artist Reception: April 10, 12-2pm, immediately following service, all welcome.
