April 24 Service at 10:30 AM
The Green Sanctuary Team will be leading the second annual Earth Day Sunday. The intergenerational service will include readings, poetry and music – and a special presentation by the children – celebrating the earth and recommitting to the 7th Principal of Unitarian Universalism: “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.”
This Sunday’s Share-the-Plate will be donated to the Danvers Rail Trail Advisory Committee, a town-appointed group of volunteers who manage and maintain the 4 1/3 mile non-motorized walking, biking and jogging trail in Danvers. This wonderful natural resource linking schools, parks, residential and commercial areas and trails in neighboring towns was built by the community along what was once part of the historic Boston & Maine Railroad. Donations to the Rail Trail are used to maintain and preserve this multi- use shared green space, which abuts the lower edge of our NSUU property. If you would like to donate by check on April 24, please make it payable to Friends of Danvers Recreation (the Rail Trail 501C(3) sponsor) and note Rail Trail in the memo line.
