May 31 Service at 10:30 AM on Zoom
Rev. Jeanne Nieuwejaar
“My Cup Runneth Over” — This familiar phrase, and others from the 23rd Psalm, in translations both ancient and modern, will be the prompts for this Sunday’s service. This beloved Psalm could have been written precisely for this season in our lives. Its spiritual wisdom addresses exactly the challenges we face. One of the Psalms’s most evocative phrases is “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death;” or as Bobby McFerrin renders it in his gorgeous version, “Though I walk through a dark and dreary land.” Despite all the blooming trees around us, the singing birds and often beautiful music, there most of us feel a kind of dark and dreary cloud hovering. The 23rd Psalm acknowledges dark clouds, hard realities, but more importantly offers much comfort and even celebration. Join us on Sunday for a time of comfort and of celebration.
Please join us via zoom this Sunday at 10:30 as we welcome back Rev. Jeanne Nieuwejaar to our pulpit from her home in Milford, NH. We will also welcome back Judy Putnam’s piano music this Sunday. Please send any Cares and Celebrations to email@example.com. See you in church (wherever that may be).
